Sleeping Bags
Sleeping bags are wonderful. There are many times in my life when I have loved using sleeping bags. Sleeping bags are not just for camping, but can be used at home. If you are young and just getting out on your own, having to use sleeping bags for a while does not mean that you are missing out on comfort while you are sleeping. The greatest thing I love about sleeping bags is when you first get inside of one they are always slightly cool giving you a nice refreshing feeling as you lay there thinking before you fall asleep. Then before you know it you are warm and cuddled through the duration of your sleep in nice deep cocoon. Sleeping bags are also wonderful because they are easy to store and very compact. This is great if you have limited living space and sometimes need a nice bed roll for guests that might come over. Sleeping bags are also inexpensive enough usually to where if you lend one out then you really do not have to worry about the sleeping bag being returned. Good sleeping bags are expensive however, and can cost above one hundred dollars for an exotic one. Sleeping bags also come in a few different varieties. Some are water resistant in case it rains. Some sleeping bags are a simple blanket wrap, while others have a hood that will allow you to cover every inch of your body for security and still let you peek outside of it for the "boogie man." Sleeping bags are half the fun of camping and in their own little way are equally as comfortable as beds. Kids also can be obsessed with them and find any excuse possible just to use them. I have even found children trying to use them to make forts or use as a jumping mat.
