DVD Cleaners
DVD repair kits and DVD cleaners are rarely required when you need to clean a DVD or compact disk player. The first problem that DVD cleaners have is that most DVD and compact disk players cannot read the cleaner disks therefore stop reading the disk too early before the cleaner is cleaned. Another problem with DVD cleaners and compact disk cleaners is that oftentimes when you feel you need to use one, it is because you have a scratched disk that you have cleaned several times to try to get working properly. DVD cleaners and compact disk repair kits can range in price from 1 dollar to 30 dollars. A lot of these DVD cleaners and compact disk repair kits come with chemicals that you would buff the disks with to try and have the laser read over the scratches. I have a simple process that may help you. Yes, having a DVD cleaner or compact disk repair kit is nice and can help. If you have a scratch that cannot be buffed out of a compact disk or DVD, then the first thing you would do is get a q-tip and nail polish remover. Use these 2 items to buff the scratch to make it even on the surface. Be careful when doing this because pressing to hard will cause cotton from the q-tip to be ground into the disk which can make the disk permanently damaged. Once you have done this with the q-tip and nail polish remover, buff the disk with the DVD cleaner CD repair kit and try to run it. Remember before you try this to use the DVD cleaner CD repair kit just in case to save you some trouble and time. I have repaired numerous disks this way and saved many play station DVDs and music compact disks.
