Cleaning Vinyl Siding
There are many companies dedicated to cleaning vinyl siding for you. Cleaning vinyl siding is not an extremely hard job, as much as it is just a lot of work. It is noticeable that it is time to clean vinyl siding when the vinyl siding seems to show a white look to it. You can go to a nearby hardware store and purchase special cleaning supplies for cleaning the vinyl siding, however cleaning vinyl siding could cause the color to fade and may require painting the vinyl siding anyway. In this case you would have to primer the siding before it was actually painted to make sure that the paint sticks properly. Having a professional in either case may be a good idea if you really need to be cleaning the vinyl siding. Renting or buying a power washer to help with the cleaning of vinyl siding would be the easiest way to get it done if you do not want as long of a labor intensive project. Using a pressure washer would allow less scrubbing as much as it would allow you to not have to reach as far or as high along the walls and roof to clean the vinyl. You would also want to watch for spots in which you could cause leaking or smearing of dirt while washing. These areas will require special attention while cleaning. You will also want to refrain from using a pressure washer in a way that will spray water in between pieces of vinyl siding, this can cause rotting behind the vinyl siding and decrease the overall value of the home or residence. When choosing a brush to scrub, make use a soft bristle brush and try to only use it in areas that have extra ground dirt, or grease. It may also be necessary to apply mold or mildew cleaner in certain areas, like small cracks and crevices.
