Shop-Vac Vacuum Cleaner Tools and Accessories

Shop-Vacs have been around for many years, and people find them a handy tool to have in addition to their traditional vacuums. Not only can they clean up debris and dirt from your carpet, but they also have the ability to suck up water and larger pieces of debris than most traditional vacuums could handle. Besides their cleaning abilities, many people are attracted to Shop-Vacs because of the tools and accessories they can purchase to go with them.

Water cleanup is one of the most common reasons why people own Shop-Vacs. There are a variety of wet filters you can use based on what model of Shop-Vac you have. In addition you can purchase a water drainage kit. This particular kit works with Shop-Vacs that have a 1.25 or 2.5 inch hose, and it allows you to pull the water out of any pipe or line. This can be extremely handy when having to make a home plumbing repair.

Cleaning the car is another use people find for Shop-Vacs. Due to the layout and tight corners a car presents, using a traditional, upright vacuum is impractical. Even if the vacuum has a hose it doesn’t always extend far enough to reach all the nooks and crannies your car has. Shop-Vacs come in all sizes, meaning you can find one that easily sits on top of your seat or the floor of the car while you vacuum. In addition, there are a multitude of hoses and extension wands that make it possible to leave the Shop-Vac vacuum cleaner sitting outside your car and still reach every spot you need to vacuum. The Shop-Vac brand does sell car cleaning kits as an accessory for your Shop-Vac, and these come with extension wands, including extra long hoses.

You can also use your Shop-Vac vacuum cleaner to clean out your gutters providing you have the Shop-Vac accessories and tools. Gutter cleaning kits are sold as an accessory to blower Shop-Vacs. They come with an extension wand, a concentrator nozzle, and a 120-degree elbow. Simply connect the accessory parts to your Shop-Vac, and then raise it up to blow the leaves and dirt out of the gutters. This makes it extremely easy to clean your gutters and you no longer have to worry about getting out the ladder and potentially falling.

Of course Shop-Vacs are used by many in the construction field as they clean up after building or remodeling homes. For them, using tools and accessories designed for construction debris is ideal. Drywall filters are a great example of just one of the accessory items that Shop-Vac provides.

There are a variety of additional Shop-Vac tools and accessories which can come in handy depending upon the type of clean-up project you are engaging in. It’s worth your time to check out the latest products and news from the Shop-Vac vacuum cleaner brand, as they may have something that will save time and make a complicated clean-up rather simple.
