Rainbow SE Series D4C Canister Vacuum Cleaner (Reconditioned) Product Review

Rainbow vacuums have an excellent reputation as being some of the best in the business; they have been manufacturing vacuum cleaners since the 1950s. When people think of high quality vacuum cleaners, they think about Rainbow. The company's models offer high power, easy use and cleaning, and a guarantee that they will provide the best, most powerful vacuum available.

Rainbow prefers to call their vacuum cleaners home cleaning systems, because they do more than just suck up dust and dirt. The Rainbow system guarantees a healthier, cleaner home overall through the use of water within their units. Their motto is "wet can't fly" meaning water will help to trap dust so it cannot get re-released back into the air or into carpeting. Unlike traditional vacuum cleaners that allow dirt and dust to escape back into the air, the Rainbow line holds them by utilizing a patented system to keep the dust inside the vacuum cleaner.

The Rainbow SE Series D4C Canister Vacuum Cleaner is a great piece of home cleaning equipment that make the everyday chore of vacuuming a breeze, including:

  • A 2 quart water pan
  • Attachments that include a separator brush, coil cleaner, dusting brush, upholstery cleaner, crevice tool, floor and wall brush, and the attachment caddy
  • New wands, bearings, and gaskets
  • Power nozzle
  • Electric hose for the power nozzle
  • 10 year motor warranty

Perhaps one of the most striking features of the Rainbow SE Series D4C Canister Vacuum Cleaner is that you can actually see the progress as you clean because the dirt gets trapped in the water causing it to darken. This indicates that the dust and dirt is being trapped inside, and being removed from furniture and floors. Overall, this is a very powerful vacuum cleaner that does an excellent job of getting excess dirt and dust out of your home. There are a few cons, however, the most obvious downside is the unit is a bit heavy, and close to the shape of a traditional wet-dry vac. It isn't very easy to carry and maneuver up stairs or to transport. Some people may not like the idea of using water to vacuum, particularly with carpeting. Although the water does not get into the carpet, it does lightly touch it.

There are several models of Rainbow vacuum cleaners, but the SE series has a longer water separator than some of its counterparts: the water will not get into the motor shaft and pump system, and cause an electrical or mechanical problem. This model uses water only and no filters, so you'll never have to buy another vacuum cleaner filter again. Water traps 99% of the dust and particles in the air, furniture, and carpet, making this amazing factory reconditioned unit a terrific deal and an excellent addition to any home. The Rainbow series of vacuums guarantees the cleanest of homes can be yours.
