GE Vacuum Cleaners

History

Through the mid-1900’s GE developed many other home products such as toasters, refrigerators, washing machines, dryers and vacuum cleaners. They became focused more on home and smaller products that are needed around the house. Today, GE boasts being the fifth largest company in America, and was valued at around $350 billion in the 1990’s.

Vacuums

The GE 2-Motor Canister vacuum is one of the most popular vacuums from the company. This model can deep clean both carpets and hard floors, from wood to vinyl. The motor boasts 12 amps, with powerful suction action, and the allergen filters are guaranteed to pick up 100% of all dirt, dust, and grass pollen. Additionally, this model is one of the quietest available, so that you can even talk on the phone comfortably while you are vacuuming. The compact design and automatic cord rewind make the 2-Motor Canister model one of the easiest to store. The attachments fit nicely onto the machine and are very easy to use. The fingertip brushing roller makes it easy to get into difficult small corners and under the furniture. While the price may be a little higher than the competition, this model is well worth the money in exchange for its longevity and superior cleaning power.

The GE Bagless Upright Vacuum with HEPA filter offers its users great cleaning power for a lesser amount of money. At around $100, it is easy to afford and gives you the cleaning action you need. Lightweight at 22 lbs, this bagless vacuum maneuvers easily, and buyers can choose from seven different heights. So no matter if there are hard floors or high, shaggy carpets to clean, this vacuum can get them all done. Bagless vacuums are the most popular choice, as you can see when the dirt and debris fills the canister. The HEPA filter helps remove very tiny dirt and debris, particularly pollens and pet dander. For those who may have allergies, this vacuum will help you breathe easier in your own home. The GE Bagless comes equipped with an upholstery brush and crevice tool, and a permanently attached hose to reach those high corners.

All filters and replacement parts can be bought online for a minimum price. GE Vacuum cleaners have been around for decades and continually improve to meet the demands of consumers. They come from a reputable company and are all backed by warranties of at least one-year, depending on the make and model.

The GE Company, otherwise known as the General Electric Company, has been in operation since 1892. It began when the Thomas-Houston and Edison General Electric Companies merged together to form one solid business. The famous inventor, Thomas Edison, served as one of the directors for the first two years, underneath President Charles Coffin. The company began its business selling items such as light bulbs, generators and trolleys. The company also came up with many breakthroughs such as X-ray tubes and photoelectric relay. GE boasted many discoveries and built their business up with large products meant for big businesses and corporations.
