Electrolux Vacuum Cleaners

The Electrolux Group, founded in 1910, is a Swedish company that makes appliances for use in both home and professional settings. Each year more than 40 millions Electrolux products are sold to customers in approximately 150 countries.

The name Electrolux is synonymous with superior vacuum cleaners. In fact, in the 1960s, the company’s slogan was “Nothing sucks like an Electrolux,” meaning that the Electrolux vacuum cleaners sucked up dirt better than any of the other brands.

Through the years, there have been many different Electrolux vacuum cleaner models introduced, each improving on the quality of previous models.  In 2001, Electrolux introduced the Electrolux Oxygen. The Electrolux Oxygen vacuum cleaner comes with the 02 filter system HEPA 13. Electrolux claims this vacuum provides 99.5% filtration capacity. The company also says that the exhaust air released by the Electrolux Oxygen is cleaner than that found at the North Pole. Now, the Electrolux Oxygen 3 Ultra Canister vacuum cleaner boasts that it captures 99.97% of all the dust, allergens, and small particles it picks up.  Better yet, the HEPA filter is washable, so there is no added expense in buying new filters.

n 2002, the robotic vacuum cleaner, the Roomba, was introduced. However, it was actually Electrolux that made the first commercial autonomous vacuum cleaner available. Electrolux introduced its robotic vacuum cleaner, the Trilobite, in 2001. The Trilobite is named after an extinct arthropod that was known for cleaning the floors of the ocean. The vacuum uses ultrasonic sensors to move around the room and avoid obstacles. The vacuum cleaner comes with a removable roller brush which allows consumers to clean deep-pile carpet. When done, the Trilobite returns to its base, which automatically recharges it.

The Electrolux Intensity Upright Vacuum has an air path that is just three inches long. This means the dirt doesn’t have to travel through several feet of tube to get to the vacuum cleaner bag. This results in 50% more suction power. The Intensity Upright has an optimum performance light to let the consumer know it is working at its maximum intensity. There are also indicator lights that indicate when the vacuum cleaner bag is full or when the filter needs changing. Another attractive feature of the Intensity Upright vacuum is that it easily folds up for storage, taking up less room than a laundry basket.

The Electrolux Harmony Canister is a compact and lightweight yet powerful vacuum cleaner. It’s also one of the quietest vacuums that Electrolux makes due to its sound-insulated motor and low-noise floor nozzle.   The Harmony has a sealed HEPA filtration system, which captures over 99% of the dust and airborne allergens found in homes. It is designed to clean both rugs and hard wood floors, but it comes with a special nozzle for cleaning stairs. It is also excellent at picking up pet hair. The on-board caddy contains a dusting brush as well as an upholstery brush.

The Electrolux vacuum cleaner bags are good for every model of vacuum cleaner that Electrolux has made since 1954, with the except of the Lux 9000, Guardian, Epic 8000, Renaissance, Harmony, and Oxygen models.

When searching for a new vacuum cleaner, remember that Electrolux has offered quality, reliable models for years.
