Electrolux Vacuum Cleaner Tools and Accessories

Almost 100 years ago Axel Wenner-Gren had a vision about a vacuum for home use. At the time, vacuum cleaners were primarily used in business or industrial settings. Wenner-Gren convinced the Electrolux Company to buy the patent to a vacuum cleaner and in return, he would receive company stock for any sales made. Within ten years, Wenner-Gren owned the Electrolux Company and his legacy for excellent vacuum cleaners and other appliances was set.

Today, you can find Electrolux vacuum cleaner tools and accessories for three different machine styles like the canister, upright, and lightweight. Within each style category, there are a variety of model choices with one sure to suit your particular cleaning needs.

Typical Tools and Accessories

With most Electrolux models, there are several tools and accessories that come standard with the vacuum. The dusting brush is a handy gadget to have that slips onto the end of the vacuum cleaner wand. If you hate to dust, this tool, with its soft natural bristles, gently disturbs the dust on your furniture while the vacuum sucks it up. The only thing it doesn't do is apply the furniture polish for you!

Among the nifty Electrolux cleaner tools and accessories is the crevice tool. This long and slim accessory attaches to the end of the vacuum cleaner wand and is perfect for those hard to reach places. The cushions of your couch, deep seams in the upholstery and corners and baseboards all can be free of dirt and debris with the crevice tool.

If you have bare floors as well as carpet, the hard floor brush nozzle offers debris-suctioning versatility. This accessory attachment has fine brush bristles which work to loosen dirt on bare floor like tile or laminate while the vacuum suction removes the dirt. With the telescoping wand that easily attaches to the vacuum, you can extend your reach and vacuum those normally unattainable areas such as ceiling corners, the tops of curtains and draperies and even ceiling fan blades.

The handheld turbo nozzle is a favorite among owners who have a collection of Electrolux vacuum cleaner tools and accessories. This useful tool attaches to the end of most Electrolux vacuum cleaner wands and has its own little motor built in. It's perfect for vacuuming stairs, upholstery and vehicles.

The Electrolux Company offers both bagged and bagless vacuums all of them having some sort of filtering technology to reduce the allergens in the air. If you have a bag model, you will have to replace the bag as it gets full. With the bagless vacuums, there is a dust cup that must be emptied several times during a cleaning session and may occasionally have to be replaced along with the HEPA filter that keeps the air clean.

Each Electrolux model will have slightly different features and accompanying accessories, so it is important to know what you want before you shop. The Intensity model is perfect for tight storage areas because it folds down.
